Dejan I. (45) was arrested in the village of Slatina near Kruševac on suspicion that he killed his father Stanislav I. (70) with an ax yesterday morning in the courtyard of the house.
Neighbors inform us, it is presumed that father and son fought, and the crime was known when the suspect Dejan I. called the police and told them what he had done. – Dejan supposedly waited calmly for the police and surrendered without resistance – says the source. Slatina village residents say they did not know the murdered Stanislav, because he lived in Krusevac.
– The grandfather came to town for the first time to visit his son and a great noise was heard. We do not know what they were discussing, it is possible that they had some fights a long time ago – says the local and adds that the fight culminated in a woodshed.
– Dejan went out to cut firewood and his father approached him. A large pool of blood and a bag of food were left on the tree – says the source, adding that alcohol was also noticed in the house, so it is assumed that father and son consumed it before the fight. Few neighbors say that the arrested Dejan I. moved to the village in April and that he got a job in Kruševac.
– He is divorced and since he arrived he has renovated the whole house. He did the facade, tiles, gutters, bought new furniture. He was nice to us, but he didn’t hang out with anyone much. We did not even realize that someone was coming towards him, and yesterday we saw his father for the first time – says the neighbor.
