Today we have a greater number of new infected than yesterday. A third of all those tested was positive – said the director of the institute “Milan Jovanović Batut”, Verica Jovanović.
Dr. Jovanović commented on the new measures taken by the Government.
– We do everything, and I really believe in that. Not only me, but also my colleagues, because only such measures can give results, only the intersection of contact can lead to the cessation of infection, he said.
When asked if we are threatened with a curfew, Dr. Jovanović said that it is a precautionary measure that must be applied at the individual level.
– Complete isolation and complete disruption of communication are best applied at the individual level. That’s the best measure – Dr. Jovanović pointed out.
He also commented on the transition to online teaching in schools and said it was the best way to stop adoption, that is, the spread of the virus in the family.
– It’s a psychological measure. The corona virus has run in families. Because if a member is positive, it is very likely that other members of the household also have covid. Transmission and transmission take place mainly in the family, he explained.
When asked if the healthcare system is overloaded and if there are enough doctors, Dr. Jovanović said that the situation in healthcare is not simple, but the basic task is to provide healthcare to all who need it.
– Currently, there are about 2,400 positive health workers, of which about 60 are in hospital. We are part of a system whose task it is to treat first – he concluded and again appealed to everyone to adhere to the prescribed measures.
