In the response to “Blic”, the Ministry noted that all the necessary data was collected after the report, and that the measures were taken in accordance with legal regulations.
– After the information was collected, the violence was reported to the police and the competent Social Work Center. An employee who violated security measures and allowed a third person to enter the class, who later committed violence, received legal measures and are in disciplinary proceedings, they told “Blic” of the Ministry.
However, it is not known who the employee is who violated the security measures, whether it is a janitor, a school policeman, a principal or a teacher whose husband is actually the attacker.
We were unable to find out any of this, as well as the details of the incident, at the school itself, considering that we were unable to contact the principal of that school.
According to the Ministry – considering that the attacked child is a disabled person and a member of Roma nationality, the protection team against discrimination, violence, abuse and neglect determined the facts in accordance with the procedure and took the necessary measures to protect the child.
In the following period, the Ministry, they add, will supervise the implementation of all the protection measures pronounced in the school.
The Ministry, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law, sent a request to everyone to address the case responsibly because the violence was committed against a minor.
What happened
The incident occurred on 8 October in a separate apartment of the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” primary school in Masurica, near Surdulica, when the husband of a teacher assaulted a student in class. According to “Info Vranje”, according to the first information, the husband of the MS teacher flew into the classroom and hit a Roma boy with developmental disabilities, screaming and begging not to be hit.
The teacher, as they say, was on the sidelines all the time and did not react in any way, but, as they say, she only “started crying after class.”
Due to the aforementioned incident, the school director Jasmina Blagojević came from Surdulica to Masurica, and the police arrived at the scene, writes “Info Vranjske”.
The pedagogical assistant arrived with the principal Blagojević, who spoke to the parents who were visibly upset.
The director Blagojević herself did not want to comment on the whole situation, according to this portal.
