Stefan Ljuboja (18) from Bukovac, a final grade student at the Technical School of Sombor, died in a serious traffic accident on the Sombor – Apatin road, while two of his friends, who were also in the car, were treated in Sombor hospital and, as we learn, they are out of danger.
The accident occurred around 3 pm yesterday when a “golf” car driven by Stefan landed off the road and collided with a tree. The unfortunate young man succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The tragedy occurred a few hundred meters in front of the bridge in the direction of Sombor.
– Unfortunately, the young man hit a tree directly with his side of the car. He died on the spot. He was wearing a seat belt. The view was eerie. The other two boys were conscious and were immediately taken to Sombor hospital, says our source at the scene.
Stefan graduated from Sombor Technical School. According to his partner, a former neighbor, he was an exemplary and good young man and one of the three children of the Ljuboja family.
– A few years ago, they moved from Sombor to Bukovac, so I saw it less often. Before, in elementary school, we would go out because they lived in the neighborhood and I know him as a good and quiet boy. For the two friends who were in the car with him, I heard they were out of the woods, says Stefan’s partner and former neighbor.
The cause of this traffic accident will be known after the investigation.
