The fire in the apartment on the 11th floor of the building at 167 Arsenija Čarnojevića Boulevard in New Belgrade was caused by a gas bottle on the terrace, “Blic” learned.
The fire broke out in a single apartment and did not spread further thanks to the quick reaction of firefighters.
The tenants of the sheltered apartments were evacuated and found in front of the building. Among them are immobile people, but fortunately there are no injuries.
– The building was full of smoke, but it wasn’t too bad. We and the residents of the upper floors left – say the tenants with whom the “Blic” reporters spoke in front of the building.
We remind you that the fire occurred around 2 pm, but it was soon located.
– Members of the Ministry of the Interior, Emergency Situations Sector, located the fire that broke out around 2:00 pm in the apartment on the 11th floor of the building on Arsenija Čarnojevića Boulevard in New Belgrade. No one was injured in the fire. 23 firefighters-rescuers with five fire trucks participate in the intervention. The event is ongoing, the Interior Ministry announcement states.
