The day of the liberation of Nis in World War II is marked on October 14, and on the same day in 2020, as the Nis guerrillas say, representatives of the Guinness Book of Records visited Nis to award the first Guinness recognition to the city. The city of Nis is a proud “Guinness” in the longest reconstruction of the bridge.
Guinness representatives – Mr. Longnouz and Mr. Fejker, presented a recognition to the Serbian representative of Guinness Mr. Prolongic and a plaque on the occasion of breaking the record in the category “Longest bridge reconstruction duration up to 50 meters” Southern news.
The Fortress Bridge received this recognition because it has been rebuilding a record of 222 days, 23 hours and 23 minutes, and that has not happened so far, the Guinness men emphasized, and the guerrillas report.
The Urban Guerrilla Nis team, as they say, welcomed the representatives of the Guinness Book of Records and was given the task of delivering plaques on the occasion of this record, which has not been registered in the world, to the representatives of the Directorate of Construction, as well as the City Council and the mayor.
By the way, the Fortress Bridge in Nis has been rebuilt since the beginning of March this year. For that 60 million dinars were reserved and it was announced that everything would be finished in four months.
We are knocking on the door in November, and the end of the reconstruction is not yet in sight, so Nis is correctly listed in the Guinness Book in the category of the longest reconstruction of the 50-meter bridge, they say.
Nis Urban Guerrilla is a group of anonymous activists, who call themselves “an alternative to reluctance, arrogance and apathy in the city.” Their actions always get attention, and there were wreaths on a stump, embankment jumping contests, painting the Fortress pink, planting flowers, fishing and celebrating bumpy birthdays.
At Marger, they painted cement balls, “decorated” the Christmas tree in downtown Nis with garbage to draw attention to the poorly decorated city, and roasted “smoked” meat in polluted air.
Citizens must be more active, this group says, to see their power and understand that if they don’t point out what bothers them, others won’t solve their problems.
