Aleksandar Markovic, better known as Sandro, was a music star with the “band Prslook” in the nineties, but few know that his path in life was very difficult. Sandra suffered many hardships, from the war, through the death of her parents, illness, divorce and loss of property, but none of that, as she points out, broke it.
The musician and his brother Nikica plan to return to the stage. They both retired from the stage to pursue the medical profession: Sandro is a sports medicine specialist, while his brother is a psychiatrist. Sandro has two children and says he loved his ex-wife very much.
– My ex-wife and I reconciled three times. I loved her very much. The first time we broke up, I sinned, the last time she did. We have two children, the son is named Alessandro (16) and the daughter is Nikolina (14). They live with their mother in Novi Sad, so I can’t see them every day. He trains basketball and his daughter tennis, the children are wonderful, we get along very well – says Sandro.
Sandro also teaches medical high school, where the children adore him, and admits that although he specialized in psychiatry, like his brother, he was unable to finish it because of illness and money.
– A few years ago I worked in Padua as a doctor for an agency. I had some immune disease, I fell into bed and since my daughter-in-law is the head of immunology, she put me in contact with a doctor and we solved it. I had a sharp drop in immunity from overwork. And then when I got divorced and lost my apartment, I got sugar too. I had symptoms, I drank a lot of water, my muscles were shaking, I lost weight, I weighed 60 kilograms at a height of 190 cm. I now weigh 85 pounds. I train regularly, I walk, I watch my diet. I don’t drink alcohol, but I didn’t like to drink it before. I like to smoke tompus with my girlfriend, it is our ritual. I have diabetes both genetically and from stress. Especially for divorce and apartment. – says Sandro for “Kurir” and reveals how he lost his apartment:
– Two years ago, the bank took it from me. Ten years ago, I asked for a loan in Switzerland and, to pay it off, I sold an apartment in Novi Sad, I couldn’t pay it. My fee jumped from 320 to 650 euros. I found people who bought an apartment and now they rent it to me. I live in my apartment as a tenant! I try not to overwhelm myself, I am not a materialist. I actually lost three apartments! I had two in Novi Sad. One big, one small, and I sold both. I sold the smallest one for a living, because I’m used to living on a slightly higher level with the Prslook band.
The loss of Sandra’s parents was hard.
– He was irradiated in 1999, he was the commander in Prokuplje and the first bomb fell on his barracks. He died of radiation in 2006 at my hands. I came to the Academy of Military Medicine because I was looking for a cure for his illness. He is the second man in the world to have this type of radiation, an acute abdomen. When the doctor told me that, I asked him how much he had left. She told me “15 minutes”. I held it in my hands … How can I not get sugar? I told my mom on the phone. He died six months ago. Nikica tells me that I have not been to visit my mother in Nis for a long time, four months, and I am going to see her. After three hours, he died in an armchair while watching television. She fell asleep, her heart betrayed her. It all came together in four years. I was supposed to compile my book – says Sandro and reveals what will be found in his book:
– I started writing it when I got sick, I stayed in Italy and finished it. My love story is sad. About the girl Mirella (with two liters) from Split. I didn’t bring it when I came to Serbia, because what would a Croatian do here at that time? I wrote her letters and told her that I had found another girl and lied to her. I cry and write a letter. After a few years he married my best friend. Nobody wanted her in Split because she was having fun with a Serb, only Marko wanted her. Of course, he is no longer my friend.
Sandro was rumored to have escaped through the window because he cheated on his wife, but he explained what it was about.
– I did not cheat on my wife, but on the girl at that time. A singer with another singer. Then her boyfriend came, so I ran out the window – she concluded.
