Amendments to the Infectious Diseases ActAccording to the Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lončar, in the Assembly session, fines are introduced for violating the anti-epidemic measures.

189 deputies voted in favor of the law, one against, one abstained and one deputy did not vote.

Under the new regulations, a natural person will be fined 5,000 dinars for a misdemeanor if they do not adhere to the measure of personal protection against infection.

A fine of 30,000 dinars is foreseen if the person responsible for the application of personal protection against infections does not ensure the immediate application of these measures.

A fine of 300,000 dinars will be imposed on a legal person if he does not carry out actions and activities for the application of personal protection against infection, and if he does not designate responsible for the immediate application of these measures, and an entrepreneur will be fined 150,000 dinars. a fine of 50,000 dinars.

The Communal Militia also controls the implementation of the measures

The supervision of the implementation of the measures, in addition to the Sanitary Inspection, is carried out by the local self-government through the Communal Militia.

The sanitary inspector, in addition to the authority he had so far, can also issue a fault order, while the communal militiaman can order to empty the space where the protection measures were violated and close the facility for up to 72 hours.

According to the minister, the reforms to the law configure the legal framework of measures and procedures, in which in the next period they will be better kept under control of epidemics and will avoid greater negative consequences.

New legal categories: coronavirus, quarantine, self-isolation …

The coronavirus was included in the proposed modifications, and the contact category was introduced as people who are obliged to adhere to the measures and instructions determined by the doctor.

The categories introduced are also unfavorable epidemiological situation, home isolation, self-isolation, quarantine, transportation, isolation, health surveillance, home and personal protection.

The confirmation of the epidemiologist is sufficient evidence of the absence of workers

The reforms to the law also regulate that the epidemiologist’s certificate is sufficient proof for the employer that the worker does not work in the specified period, and that he is entitled to a salary.

Amendments to the law authorize the minister to prescribe mandatory or recommended immunizations for certain individuals, and to prevent the introduction of the virus into the country, the minister may order protective measures and laboratory tests upon entering the country.

The Government of Serbia may restrict the entry to Serbia of people from countries with an unfavorable epidemic situation, decide on the opening of quarantine facilities, treatment abroad if the capacities in the country are full and form a Crisis Staff.

Members of the Serbian Parliament have decided that there are justified reasons for the entry into force in less than eight days from the date of publication in Official bulletin.
