The army does not abandon any medium

Today, Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin attended at the military airport “Colonel-pilot Milenko Pavlović” the training of air defense shooting on the targets in the airspace of “Strela 2M”, as well as the retraining of units and shot from the development media, the PASARS system.

Minister Vulin pointed out that the Serbian army is always preparing and every day some of our members carry out training, according to the plans and needs of our army.

– You could see some of our new media preparing for combat shooting, and you can also see the now legendary “Arrow 2M” that was destroyed, sold out and seen to be expelled from the Army in a few days before, and now we see how it is. the army also makes extraordinary use of how good a combat medium is, Minister Vulin noted.

The Serbian army, as the Defense Minister stressed, equips itself with new weapons and new means, adopts the latest knowledge and learns from others.

– But, the Serbian Army does not lose any of its skills and nothing in our arsenal is worth throwing away. Everything can be used and everything can be improved and everything has a purpose in the Serbian army, Minister Vulin concluded.

Major Milan Erić, commander of the 25th Anti-Aircraft Division, on duty as responsible for the readiness of the “Strela 2M” anti-aircraft missile system, says that training shots are being fired at the target in the airspace, a plane and a helicopter.

– The aim of the training is to prepare for the control training shot, which is coming tomorrow, so in the next two days we will move to Pasuljanske livade, where we will conduct shooting battles in a 26mm light mine – says Major Erić.

Sergeant Major Sasa Maksimovic, commander of the gun department of the 25th Artillery and Missile Division for Air Defense of the 2nd Armed Forces Brigade, says his goal is to retrain the commander of the marksmen and PASARS system procedures.

– This is a complex system in which we currently carry out training and control-training of fire, which are a condition for the execution of combat shots at targets on the ground and in the air that follows – says Sergeant Major Maksimovic and adds that the Training is demanding, but somewhat easier for them, who worked on the “bofors” system for a long time.

For the “Strela 2M” light portable short-range missile system, training is being carried out on the “N100” simulator to act on the real target, and on the PASARS hybrid artillery missile system, which is a development medium, under the direction of the General Staff and the Military Technical Institute. units are being retrained before the introduction of funds into the armament of the Serbian army.

After the end of today’s training shootings, which were attended by the Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense, Brigadier General Zeljko Bilic and the Commander of the 204 Air Brigade, Colonel Brane Krnjajic, training shootings of control, followed by shots at Pasuljanski Livadi and Nikinci Range.
