The heavy rains that fell on the territory of the municipality of Nova Varos during the day turned into sleet and snow, and in the higher areas a layer of snow of several centimeters had already formed.
– It is not uncommon for our country to fall snow in spring. It happened that a lot more snow also fell on St. George’s Day. The elders remember that he also knew how to fall during the summer. There is never relaxation here in the mountainous areas, says a resident of the town of Trudovo.
For now, the April snow has caused no major problems for the locals, like the March snow, when most of the rural roads were covered in snow.
The snowfall also did not bypass the municipality of Ivanjica this time.
– A few more centimeters of snow fell, there is some snow on some roads, but the situation is under control – says Vitomir Arsović of the EP “Putevi Ivanjica”.
