GORNJI MILANOVAC – When eleven Suvobor hunters went hunting rabbits in familiar wooded terrain, they had no idea that they would shoot a much larger wild animal. That is, a 28-kilogram wolf was found at the target of the hunter Vladimir Matijević in the village of Bogdanica, who this time was lucky and had a close encounter, so he shot this forest predator from a distance of 40 meters.
“He was in the forest, in a steep part where it is inaccessible to people, we saw him lying down for half an hour, and when he saw us he started running from the forest towards the clearing. When we tried to go around him, another one flew off, quite a specimen. bigger than this one, from which, as they say, the older the crafty one, he managed to escape, but we sure had one in our hands, “Mirko Trnavac, one of the protagonists of this exciting hunting story, told the RINA agency.
However, not all hunters would be so sure of their hunt if their loyal friends weren’t the dogs they swear by. This time they also played a key role, because they managed to intimidate the wolf and direct it on the right path, in the field of vision of the hunters.
“We thought it was a deer, when Vladimir and I followed our dogs, we found out what it was about, the wolf flew straight at us, where a colleague managed to shoot him with a small 40 meter shotgun. We have to save this rare captured trophy. That’s why we sent it to be filled, ”Trnavac said, adding that he hoped that in the near future he would catch a capitalist who managed to escape from the Suvobor region with his cunning.
By the way, on the territory of Gornji Milanovac, less damage has been noticed lately than these forest predators, who mostly killed domestic poultry in these villages.
