Police in Mexico City captured two 15-year-old boys carrying the body of a murdered child in a suitcase.
The case happened 10 days after a man was captured with the bodies of two children.
The city prosecutor’s office indicated that the last crime was discovered in the street near the place of the first crime.
The prosecution added that the two cases are unrelated, but experts say drug gangs in the city are increasingly recruiting young teenagers to trade drugs and collect extortion fees.
They did not publish the age or names of the two suspects, or their victims, but local media claim that the two suspects are 15 years old and the dead child 14. The victim was identified as Alessandro N.
The suspects reportedly told police they were paid to dispose of the bodies, Anatolia reports.
They dragged the suitcase along the sidewalk in the Guerrero neighborhood, and when the police stopped them, they threw the suitcase and it was partially opened, exposing the victim’s head.
They were handed over to the municipal agency for minors. The most serious punishment they could face would be detention outside prison up to the age of 18.
