“The first man of the Serbian Electric Industry, Milorad Grčić, must resign,” said the vice president of the Freedom and Justice Party, Marinika Tepić, in front of that public company. He claims that Grcic led EPS to a losing position in just two years. Grcic told Tepic in a statement: “we will meet in the courtroom” due to the allegations and criticism from EPS.
The vice president of the Freedom and Justice Party found three reasons why the current acting director of the EPS should resign. In the first place, he affirms that he turned this public company into a loss-making one and as proof of this he took the papers in which the 2019 income statement is found.
“When you look at the last page, which I will show you, the net loss, you will see that it amounts to 5.8 billion dinars. Only in 2019. And also, in addition, you will see the previous year, last year EPS borrowed and had a net loss. of a billion, “Tepić said.
Grcic addressed the public and Tepic with a statement. She accuses her and the leader of the party to which she belongs of being the ones who “looted and stole EPS.”
“What it seemed when the team of its current boss (Dragan) Djilas ran EPS is best shown by the fact that, from 2004 to 2012, an average of 237 million euros was invested per year, and from 2013 to 2019, of 360 to 400 million euros. “With a better, smarter and more serious policy, first from the state of Serbia and the government that saved us from its debts, and then with the internal behavior of the new EPS leadership, we managed to find more funds for investment, “Grcic said in a statement.
Even if he did his homework, Grčić can no longer be a host here, because his actor status expired in 2017, Tepić recalls. He cites failure to invest in ecologically better plants as the third reason for his dismissal.
That the fact is that EPS does not have the money for that, says the economic journalist of the Danas newspaper, Aleksandar Milošević: “So we have to ask ourselves the following: before the EPS management asks to raise the price of electricity, what you must do to achieve a better result for yourself: reduce costs or increase EPS revenue. “
Marinika Tepic is sure that we will pay for EPS losses through a higher price of electricity. She says EPS employees also expect layoffs.
“Half a million people, employees and their families, should be shaken from this moment, when their family pillar will lose their jobs, because Grčić is playing roasters at EPS,” he stated.
Due to these accusations, Grčić tells Tepić that he will meet in court and that he will continue to ask for a meeting and answers on business with EPS.
