The girl Ana B. (15) from Obrež, near Varvarin, succumbed to serious injuries sustained in a car accident, after five days of fighting by doctors from the Niš Clinical Center.
As “Novosti” has learned, the whole case is being investigated by the competent Krusevac prosecutor’s office. A small local woman was hit by a car on 20 September in her hometown, after which she was treated at the Kruševac General Hospital.
According to information from “Novosti”, the Kruševac doctors managed to stabilize the severely injured 15-year-old girl and, as an emergency, rushed her to KC Niš.
The family did not lose hope despite serious internal injuries and the fact that the patient was on the machines. The worst news, however, came on Friday night and the girl’s body yesterday.
– The girl was returning with her neighbor and her brother AB from her birthday, had contact with the vehicle while they were on the sidewalk, while the vehicle came from a side road – officially declares the source of “Novosti”.
– At the wheel was a UA resident, who, to add to the tragedy, is a relative of the girl, close to the now bereaved family.
She was the pride of Obrez
The girl was Obrez’s pride. She attended the first grade of the High School of Economics in Varvarin and was a good student. Smart, beautiful, hardworking, good friend, sister, daughter. This is how friends and family describe it for “Novosti”. She played folklore in Obrez’s KUD “Kolo”, had an exceptional gift for dance and singing.
Among the close relatives who cannot believe what happened is Ana’s uncle, Boban B. with his family.
– Only five years ago he lost his father, Miroslav died at the age of 38, so the mother, Jelica, was left with two daughters and a son – relatives of the family tell us.
– There is also a grandmother and a blanket, it is not known who is tougher. Ana’s brother for sure, because they were twins.
According to unofficial information from “Novosti”, the presence of alcohol in the driver was not determined and the report with all the investigation reports was forwarded to the competent prosecutor’s office in Kruševac.
The girl will be buried on Monday at 2 pm in the New Obrez Cemetery.
