President Aleksandar Vucic will meet with representatives of political parties tomorrow, and the theme of the meeting is expected to be the theme of continuing electoral activities and holding elections.

According to Tanjug, the meeting will be held in the afternoon, at 5 in the afternoon.

The president said yesterday that there are clear legal and constitutional deadlines for holding elections, which must be respected.

He recalled that the elections were planned for the end of March and that once they were postponed to an earlier date known to the constitution, he indicated that a further postponement would mean that the mandate of the assembly would extend beyond the Constitution and the laws, it is say, to introduce the country to the dictatorship. .

He recalled that some opposition parties called for the postponement of the elections in December and January, when he allegedly went to several European mediators on the occasion, although the elections were scheduled for early March.

And then there was the xvid 19 epidemic, when he said that they said that everything suited them because people were not satisfied, in the houses all the time …

“They can use it and win without problems. What should we do, wait until they think they can win safely? That doesn’t make any more sense,” said Vucic.

The previous meeting of Vucic and the representatives of the parties that announced their participation in the parliamentary elections was held on March 17, at which time they agreed that the elections announced on March 4 would be postponed, that there would be no further electoral activities and that there would be no electoral blocks any further

The attitude of the opposition is diverse.

Opposition to tomorrow’s meeting with President Aleksandar Vucic comes with a series of dilemmas and suggestions about whether and under what conditions elections can be held.

According to what they said about Tanjug, their estimates and proposals range from the radicals’ demand that the electoral process be resumed as soon as the state of emergency is lifted, through the New Party’s position that it must wait for the ZSO declares the end of the pandemic, to the idea of Democratic United Serbia to form a working group of epidemiologists and REC members to issue guidance on the election.
