Serbian Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said Serbia would provide part of the coronavirus vaccines to the Republika Srpska, if it had enough.

“If we have enough, we would like to give some of the vaccines to the Republika Srpska, if they don’t get them. I guess our main goal is to protect people from infection, to help,” Stefanovic said.

When asked if he expected problems from Sarajevo in that case, Stefanovic replied that Serbia had never turned anyone away who came to her for help, adding that Belgrade wanted special ties with everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Of course, we love the Republika Srpska and our people, nobody can avoid that. But what do we put in danger if we help someone, when we build a school, a hospital, when we give some help with money, what’s wrong? on that? “Stefanovic asked.

He said that Serbia helps all of Bosnia and Herzegovina with that, because that means more investments in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, more people cured, more children going to school in the best conditions.

“I suppose that’s good. Or do you mean that where Serbs live, nothing should be invested, nothing should be helped? Then they should ask themselves what their message essentially is,” Stefanovic told “Prva” Television.

Regarding certain announcements regarding the revision of the Dayton Agreement, Stefanović reiterated Serbia’s unchanged position that Belgrade is the guarantor of the Dayton Agreement and that until everyone agrees on everything, there can be no changes.

“We cannot allow them to agree among themselves, and third parties are not asked and Serbs are not asked about anything and that is always only to the detriment of Serbian institutions. I think that would be very harmful and would not lead to positive results. solutions for Bosnia and Herzegovina, “said Stefanović, adding that Serbia tries not to interfere at all in the affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He recalled that Serbia has special ties with the Republika Srpska, which is a right under the Dayton Agreement, and that it wishes to continue to assist Srpska in accordance with that.

“We want to develop the best and warmest possible relations together with our people, and no one can forbid us to do that. No one can forbid us to love the Republika Srpska and the Serbs who live there, and it will never happen, that is the sentiment of our people. “said Stefanović.
