On that occasion, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić announced himself on his Facebook account.

– Great day for Belgrade and Serbia! The Stefan Nemanja monument has been completed and becomes the property of our people. Proud because I was part of a historic company.

Let us remind you that the monument was made by the Russian sculptor Alexander Rukavishnikov. At 23 meters, it is convincingly the tallest in the Serbian capital and is located in Sava Square, right in front of the building of the old main train station.

The great monument was made of bronze, cut into pieces and delivered from Russia.

The Serbian Government has appointed an organizing committee for the inauguration of the Stefan Nemanja monument, headed by the Minister of Culture, Maja Gojković, and the inauguration of the monument is scheduled for January 27.

The members of the board are Ministers Darija Kisić-Tepavčević, Nikola Selaković and Aleksandar Vulin, as well as Secretary of State in the Ministry of Defense Aleksandar Živković, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesić, Vice President of the City Assembly from Belgrade Andrea Radulović and RTS Board Chairman Vladimir.
