Until the conclusion of this issue, as the “Novosti” reporter was convinced, the columns of cars were almost endless, from morning to night. In “Horgos” and “Batrovci”, on average, they waited five hours to enter our country, and there were large crowds at the “Kelebija” and “Bački breg” crossroads. Due to the large number of people, the “Bački Vinogradi” – “Ashothalom” crossing, which is the closest to the busiest “Horgos”, ran non-stop until 7pm tonight, but only helped those who heard the news in time and they didn’t get stuck in the car. -the way.
The column in front of the “Reske” border crossing, on the Hungarian side, was never less than three kilometers, at one point even six. According to unofficial estimates, some 20,000 passengers entered Serbia during the day via “Horgos”.
– We were out of Hungary for about five hours. At one point it seemed like we weren’t even moving, but then it started a little faster – we learn about the Gajić family, who left Austria on their way home.
– We definitely plan to come this weekend, in a way that we were ready for such a crowd. But the great nervousness of the passengers is evident, because they fear not being able to enter the country within the established period.
BORDER ZONE
The MEASURES that will be valid until January 10 do not apply to passengers passing through our country, for the transit of goods, but also to passengers in the border area, for Serbian citizens working in Hungary within a radius of 30 kilometers. As Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Istvan Pastor, President of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina agreed, all those who have proof that they work in Hungary or have arable land in the neighboring country will be able to enter or leave Serbia without a negative PCR test.
Although five lanes have been open in “Batrovci” since Friday, the average time to enter Croatia today was about four hours. Although they were aware of what awaited them on the road, many did not listen to the advice of epidemiologists, so they rushed to visit their relatives.
– We are very tired on the way, and most likely they will have to quarantine us when we return to Germany, but we also had to come, because we have not been in Serbia for a year. We wanted a family and we have to issue our passports and register cars by the end of the year, so we have a lot of work to do. They can criticize us as much as they want, we just had to come – Milan K., who waited with his family for three hours at the “Batrovci” – “Bajakovo” junction, told us briefly.
Since the negative PCR test will also be mandatory for foreign citizens, thousands of them took the last opportunity to pass through our country. Most of the passengers were from Turkey and Bulgaria, who traveled from Germany, Austria, Czech Republic …
Starting Monday, everyone at the border crossings will have to show the police the result of a negative PCR test, or after a health warning, they will have to report to the electronic health system and be quarantined for the next ten days. They will be able to come out of that quarantine the moment they are analyzed in a local institute or authorized laboratory and, of course, if the PCR is negative.
