In the last 24 hours, on the territory of Nova Varoš, about half a meter of new snow has fallen in the mountain villages, and a layer of snow about 20 centimeters high has formed in the city area.

– Immediately after the cessation of the rains, mechanization went out into the field and the roads were cleared. Roads in the villages of Akmačići, Božetići, Draglica and Negbine are impassable, and local routes are being cleared with tractor trains, and we expect them to be passable during the day, said Radosav Vasiljević, president of the municipality of Nova Varoš.
Another 30 centimeters of snow also fell on Golija and the Preko Brdo-Odvraćenica state road is again impassable. Mechanization for cleaning is in the field, but the strong wind is a problem for the road workers.
– Landfills more than one meter high have formed, strong wind still makes cleaning difficult, but we hope that the road will be passable by the end of the day – said Vitomir Arsović from EP “Putevi Ivanjica”.
