When asked what December will be like, Todorovic said there will be no significant changes compared to now.
– As it will be now in early December, the maximum temperatures would be five to 10 degrees – said Todorović.
Today, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić visited the “Belgrade Roads” Winter Service in New Belgrade and was convinced that it was ready for the announced rainfall and low temperatures.
Vesić announced that subzero temperatures and the first small-scale snow are expected on the outskirts of the city for next weekend.
– The winter service is ready to receive the first rainfall and low temperatures. In recent years, we renewed the vehicle fleet, 45 new trucks were purchased, which ensured that the streets of Belgrade were better cleaned and, at the same time, better working conditions for employees, said the deputy mayor.
Vesić recalled that some 600 “Belgrade Road” workers are working at full capacity every day. The head of the Winter Service, Zeljko Maravic, reiterated that they are ready to receive the upcoming weather conditions.
– The official meteorological forecast of the Hydrometeorological Institute is monitored daily. According to the climatic conditions, we will operate to an adequate degree from 14 bases that are evenly distributed in the urban and suburban area. In addition, at all bases, we have enough mechanization and materials to spray the streets – said Maravić.
