Aleksandra Aranitović was sentenced again in the first instance for endangering the President of Serbia
Today, Aleksandra Janković Aranitović was sentenced again in the High Court of Belgrade for endangering the safety of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, through the social network Twitter.
Aranitović was again sentenced to a six-month suspended prison term, which coincides with the time she spent in detention.
In parallel with the conditional sentence, he was also given a mandatory measure of treatment in general.
It should be recalled that Aleksandra Janković Aranitović was already convicted in the first instance for threatening Aleksandar Vučić’s family with a six-month suspended prison term.
The Belgrade Court of Appeal reversed this verdict, stating that the threat cannot be determined without hearing from the injured party, in this case the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
The Court of Appeals sent the case back for a new trial to correct this deficiency, but neither the Belgrade High Prosecutor’s Office nor the court called on President Vučić to testify.
Instead, they called the head of his security, who claimed that the president’s security was reinforced due to Aleksandra Aranitović’s tweet.
Aleksandra Aranitović sent a vulgar message to President Vučić through the social network Twitter, in which her two children are also mentioned.
Bearing in mind that one or both parties to the procedure are expected to file an appeal, the final decision in this procedure must be made by the Court of Appeals.
