Former Serbian soccer player Nenad Kovacevic was sentenced to one year in prison, and French “Lefigaro” is on probation for six months, national media reported.
As reported by the aforementioned newspaper, Kovacevic scammed the French national agency for the unemployed out of more than 113,000 euros.
The former Red Star captain was sentenced Tuesday in Nimes criminal court, although he was not present at the hearing.

Kovacevic was a player for Nima from 2013 to 2015, after which he played for Zemun in 2015, where he ended his playing career.
