Roland Garros announced strict rules regarding disqualifications and corona virus, and elimination from the tournament began.

The first to feel it was Damir Dzumhur, then the organizers announced that five players were disqualified, but did not say their names.

Well, one of them is the Serbian tennis player Pedja Krstin, who will not be in the draw for the qualifiers for Roland Garros, as he was expelled from the tournament the day before the start.

The reason: His coach tested positive for the corona virus, and although Krstin did not test positive, it meant that Roland Garros was over for him even before it started.

For the same reason, Bosnian tennis player Damir Džumhur was expelled from the tournament, all because his coach Petar Popović received a positive result.

– Unfortunately, my coach tested positive. That’s why I was expelled from Roland Garros and I won’t be able to compete. We are convinced that this is a false positive test, because there are already antibodies, but he did not have the opportunity to repeat the test – Džumhur wrote on Instagram and added:

– I am devastated, but I cannot influence this decision, I have to move on.

Apart from them, Denis Istomin, Ernesto Escobedo and Bernabé Zapata have already been disqualified for the corona virus.

Qualifications for Roland Garsos begin today and the tournament is scheduled from September 28 to October 11.
