Independent MP Miladin Sevarlic said the hunger strike ended prematurely. He was practically suffocated by the media, due to the popularity, I admit, of the parliamentary majority on the one hand, and of the Dveri movement on the other, he said.
Sevarlic said he believes that the issues raised by other parliamentarians on the hunger strike, Bosko Obradovic, Aleksandar Martinovic and Sandra Bozic, are not as important as the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, i.e. the territorial integrity of Serbia, so The strike started on Sunday.
He believes that the problems of the incident with Marijan Risticevic and the electoral process are issues to be considered, but they are not in the range of the questions he asked.
He suggested to journalists that they ask the deputies of both groups about the position in Kosovo and Metohija, stating that he did not accidentally raise that issue, that we are in the process of elections and that it is important for citizens to know what the party’s position is.
“Personally, I don’t think there is a single country in the world that gives up 12 percent of its territory, for nothing, and especially not for joining the EU,” he said.
He thanked all the journalists who paid attention to the issue he raised and declared that he would continue promoting it.
