One of the leaders of the Democratic Front in Montenegro, Milan Knezevic, says that Montenegro will succeed in forming a government according to the electoral will of the citizens as of August 30, and that it cannot accept that the Serbs in Montenegro cannot cover the security department.

“I think there is no reason to worry about (Milo) Djukanovic coming back,” Knezevic said as a guest on Prva TV.
When asked if there was any truth in the writings of certain media that the Democratic Front was willing to support the minority government, Knezevic said that “it is a brutal lie.”
Will the opposition in Montenegro manage to agree on the formation of a government?
“In this way, the Democratic Front would risk the trust of 135 thousand citizens who voted for us. In this way we would renounce our program and ideological principles that we defended during the electoral campaign and accept that Serbs cannot enter the government … They would find themselves again in the days of the Democratic Party of Socialists and the stigmatization of Serbs, “Knezevic said.
They are speculations, we reject them, he said.
Knezevic said that the aim of such speculation is likely to pressure the Democratic Front and its intention to insist on the suspension of the Religious Freedom Law.
He said putting the law out of force is a condition of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Metropolitanate de Montenegro-Primorje and other dioceses in Montenegro.
“Any attempt to transfer the speech on the law of freedom of religion to some future time, some future first or second, is a manipulation of the electoral will of the citizens,” Knezevic said.

That law woke us up as a nation, he added.
“For now, we have that Dritan Abazovic’s party is against the suspension of the law on freedom of religion, and all these other political entities are ready to participate in the vote on the suspension of that law,” Knezevic said.
He noted that he had not come to Belgrade for instructions, but that it was a matter of private motives to visit the Serbian capital.
According to him, deadlines are running out in Montenegro and it is necessary for Milo Đukanović to formally assign a mandate to Zdravko Krivokapić so that he can initiate consultations.
Speaking of personnel solutions and ministerial posts, Knezevic recalls that they have clearly stated that they will not allow any “knock-out condition” for any personal solution.

“None of us insist on the ministerial role. We do not discuss the departments, but we cannot accept that the Serbs in Montenegro cannot encompass the departments of the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Justice, the National Security Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “The military intelligence agency and everything that the security department implies, because someone fears for the Montenegrin state interests if there are Serbs in those departments,” Knezevic said.
Asked about Djukanovic’s statements about the creation of the Serbian world on the Banja Luka-Podgorica-Belgrade route, Knezevic said it was “the paranoia of the outgoing dictator.”
“He is a man who cannot accept reality. That narrative about the great Serbian hegemony and Aleksandar Vučić’s accusation that he participated in this electoral campaign and contributed to the victory of the Democratic Front, is a classic narrative that he defended during the campaign” added. it’s Knezevic.
Speaking of relations between Serbia and Montenegro, he said that that relationship would be his foreign policy priority.
“Montenegro will turn to Serbia, which will come out of this crisis with its feet,” Knezevic said, adding that Serbia is a sister country, B92 reported.
