The representatives of the Kosovo and Metohija Serbs will leave the Pristina institutions if Pristina unilaterally decides not to comply with the obligation signed before the EU to form the JCC, it was announced after the meeting of representatives of the Kosovo and Metohija Serbs with the director of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

– Pristina’s refusal to discuss the JCC is a blow to the vital interests of the Serbian people and endangers the collective political, economic and social rights of the Serbs of Kosovo and Metohija – said the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković after the meeting.

This is one of the five conclusions, after Pristina’s declarations that go in that direction, and the non-commitment of Brussels on the matter of respecting the agreement, like the JCC, of the Brussels Agreement, signed in 2013.

Petković pointed out that the formation of the JCC is a strategic interest of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and that any ignorance of the obligation to train, with all the competences that belong to it in accordance with the Brussels agreements, will be treated as an open attack to the acquired rights of the Serbian people.

Petkovic mentioned that the Serbs agreed to participate in the Pristina institutions precisely because they had guarantees of receiving firm guarantees of respect for collective rights through the SSO, so they agreed to establish local authorities and other institutions under the Pristina system.

– If Pristina unilaterally decides not to comply with the obligations signed before the European Union, the obligations of the Serbs derived from the Brussels dialogue will cease and the possibility of leaving all the central institutions in Pristina and abolishing all the Pristina institutions in the areas will be considered Serb majority in Kosovo and Metohija, Petkovic said.
