The latest data from the Geodetic Authority of the Republic shows that in the third quarter of this year, the sale of cabins was more than double compared to the same period last year.

In the three months mentioned, 454 cabins were sold in Serbia, and in the same period last year, 225. Although many would expect sales to be more intense in Serbian mountains, lakes and resorts, the trend is actually the opposite. Therefore, an increase in the number of occupied cabins was noted near the place of residence. The experiences since the beginning of the corona virus pandemic seem to have led people to buy a property that would be an alternative place to “escape the city.”

Most of the cabins were sold in Belgrade: 45. In second place is Novi Sad, where the biggest jump was recorded. That is, in the third quarter of 2020, 35 cabins were sold in the Novi Sad region, while in this period last year, only 8 buildings were sold, representing an increase of 4.5 times. 5 cabins were sold in Nis and Kragujevac.

Observed by the municipalities, most of the weekend houses in the first half of this year were marketed in the territory of the municipalities of Indjija (98), Beocin (45), Novi Sad (33), Grocka (29) , Sremski Karlovci (28).

– It is usual that the turnover of rural houses is lower in the first quarter and that it increases gradually towards the end of the year. However, this increase in turnover is more pronounced in 2020 than in 2019. It is interesting that the jump in the increase in the turnover of rural houses was registered during the second quarter of 2020 and this trend continued in the third quarter – notes the RGZ report.

The most expensive square meter of an apartment sold in Serbia during the third quarter was in “Belgrade on water” and cost 9,013 euros, and 883.8 thousand euros were reserved for that apartment, which was the most expensive paid in this period , according to the Report on the real estate market announced today by the Geodesic Authority of the Republic.

The first seven most expensive apartments in Serbia in this period were sold in Belgrade on the water. For apartments in old buildings, the maximum amount, 4.3 thousand euros, was paid for one square meter of an apartment in Vracar, while the most expensive apartment was sold in the municipality of Stari grad in Belgrade at a price of 1 , 4 million euros.

The most expensive house was sold on Brzakova Street in Savski Venac and cost 1.15 million euros. The highest price per square meter of agricultural land was registered in Novi Sad, where it reached 25 euros in Kać, and the highest price agreed was in Kula, that is, Ruski Krstur, when 102 hectares were sold for 1.3 million of euros.
