Ski Resorts of Serbia, as a responsible public company, takes great care of the health and safety of its users. Mandatory epidemiological measures prescribed at the state level also apply to ski resorts. Skiers are required to wear protective masks / bandanas, gloves, and maintain the prescribed distance. The six-seater cable car, which is currently in operation in Kopaonik, normally carries 6 skiers in a basket, which has been reduced, so it is now prescribed that only three skiers can sit. Distributors have been installed that prevent skiers from approaching each other, thus providing additional physical distance. The length of the skis already provides this, but we have introduced extra precautions to keep skiers at a safe distance.
The commissioners of the Serbian ski resorts are obliged to monitor compliance with the measures and warn all skiers who break the rules. The number of skiers is monitored at all times, how many are in order, if they all wear masks and stay at the prescribed distance. Anyone who does not comply with the measures will be removed from the queue and will not be able to board the cable car.
Those real, experienced skiers who couldn’t wait to ski for the first time at Kopaonik in the new season respected the measurements and were really responsible. We also found some who disobeyed the prescribed rules and that is why we call on all users to be responsible to themselves and others, to wear protective equipment, to wear scarves and gloves and, most importantly, to maintain distance and listen to the guards who are there. to ensure order and ski safety for all skiers and practitioners.
It is very important that everyone follows the rules so that we can get out of this situation where we all find ourselves together as winners, healthy and safe, and so that we can safely enjoy skiing all winter long. We note once again that skiing, as an individual sport, is currently the safest outdoor activity and that we will be even safer if we respect the prescribed epidemiological measures.
