BUDVA – The protest rally in Budva against the announced placement of the wreath of the Serbian Embassy in Montenegro on the commemorative plaque of the Serbian liberators ended with the coverage of the plaque with the Montenegrin flag, the RTCG portal reported.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro prevented the Ambassador of Serbia, Vladimir Božović, from laying a wreath at the aforementioned monument, and considered that it was a “serious interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign State” and a “historical falsification “.

The Serbian Embassy announced today that due to such an attitude of that department, they are postponing the planned activity with the hope and desire that, as they point out, the conditions will be created in the near future so that it will be carried out in a proper and acceptable manner. and the civilized world.

The embassy planned to place a wreath in Budva in accordance with past practice and established tradition, and on the occasion of the commemoration of November 11, the Day of Reconciliation in the Great War.

By the way, the commemorative plaque reads: “The generations of the PP Njegos court, in memory of the arrival of the brave and victorious Serbian army that liberated Budva in Mitrovdan on November 8, 1918, after heroic victories, were established by the Budva Town Hall “.
