SERBIA RECEIVED A NEVER DANGEROUS WARNING! If we continue with this policy of recognizing a false state, we will be left without our inheritance!

In the Middle Ages, when the Mother of God Ljeviška was built, explains prof. Kovic, no historical source confirms the existence of Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija.

The historian and professor at the University of Belgrade, Milos Kovic, said today that the latest writings of “Koha” on Serbian monasteries such as the so-called Kosovo heritage can never leave anyone indifferent and that the connection between Albanians and Illyrians is non-existent.

Ković assessed that the attempt to appropriate Serbian cultural heritage is only a test and confirmation of what could happen to Serbian shrines if Serbs and Serbia leave Kosovo and Metohija.

This is the clearest proof of what awaits us, Ković warned in a statement to Kosovo Online, noting that it is crucial to understand what connections ancient Balkan temples and Roman history have with modern Albanians.

– Modern Albanians are a predominantly Muslim people, whose national identity was built in the 19th and 20th centuries on Ottoman and Communist heritage, making it a predominantly Muslim people – says Ković.

In the Middle Ages, when the Mother of God Ljeviska was built and in the centuries that followed, explains Ković, who is also one of the founders of the Movement for the Defense of Kosovo and Metohija, no historical source confirms the existence of Albanians in Kosovo.

– In the Middle Ages, according to the available sources, there were no Albanians there. It just seems that the education of Albanians is based on pseudo-mythological theories, their Illyrian origin, which is a problem that Albanian historians themselves must overcome. It is not clear to me why modern Albanians insist so much on the ancient origin of our temples. His connection with the Illyrians is simply non-existent, it is a pseudo-mythology – said Ković.

As he pointed out, the fact that such claims are backed by some of the lobbying structures in the West is not a reason to believe them.

– So, Albanians are descendants of the old Balkan population, to the same extent that Serbs are descendants of the old Balkan people. There is no reason for us to separate that Old Balkan cultural identity from our heritage. And in that sense, the Albanians do not have any special privileges and do not have any professional and proven connection with the Illyrians, nor with any ancient Balkan people – noted Ković.

He adds that the practice of building temples and churches on the foundations of older places of worship is nothing new or unusual in the history of Christianity, in the history of the Balkans and in the history of the world.
