Drasko Stanivukovic, when a journalist who calls the Republika Srpska “RS” asked him if we can say “Republic of Kosovo” when the Republika Srpska is already speaking, he replied that he cannot because it is part of the territory of Serbia, whose self-proclaimed independence no one in Bosnia and Herzegovina acknowledged.

Stanivuković commented that he should not criticize the Serbian Orthodox Church and asked why he would criticize the Church. “The Serbian Orthodox Church is my church, my faith, why should I criticize it? The Serbian Orthodox Church has preserved my people, strengthened them spiritually, maintained the unity of my people through the centuries …”, Stanivuković said.

He noted that in Sarajevo he was characterized as a Chetnik and a nationalist only because he was in Montenegro and supported the disputes that were taking place there over the controversial Law on Religious Freedom.

In Sarajevo, he says, there is a desire to put certain events in a frame, and he thinks the frame is narrow.

“I like to come to Sarajevo, I like to go to Zagreb, but I love to go to Belgrade,” said Stanivuković.

It is his duty, as he pointed out, to fight for his people, but to respect the rest of the nations and minorities, not to make differences and he wants us all to live better here.

“I am a defender of the idea of economic patriotism, which will be the focus of our actions in the next period,” Stanivuković said.
