BELGRADE – Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met with Chinese Ambassador Chen Bo this morning.

The meeting was held at 9 am in the building of the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic in Andrićev venac.

Vučić received Chinese Ambassador Chen Bo today, briefed him on the talks in Washington and the course of the dialogue in Brussels, noting that Serbia will maintain sincere friendship with China and continue to develop bilateral cooperation in all areas, including telecommunications.

Vučić sent greetings to President Xi and expressed his gratitude for China’s political support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

At the same time, he confirmed Serbia’s support for the one-China policy.

Ambassador Chen noted that China’s position towards the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo is firm and unchanging, and that China will continue to support Serbia internationally on that issue.

President Vučić and Ambassador Chen agreed that the projects that Serbia and China are working on together, thanks to mutual understanding and a comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as personal contact between President Vučić and President Xi, are progressing well. At the same time, they discussed future projects in the field of infrastructure and agreed that all preparations for the realization of the Frushkogorski Corridor project are going well. During the meeting with Ambassador Chen, Vučić reiterated Serbia’s determination to maintain military neutrality.

It should be recalled that after the meetings in Washington and Brussels, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, informed the foreign partners about the agreements reached, especially about the agreement on the normalization of economic relations between Belgrade and Priština.

Vučić spoke about it yesterday by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and then with the ambassadors of the Visegrad Group countries: the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
