The text emphasizing that a strong Serbia, led by Aleksandar Vučić, is the key problem in establishing peace in the Balkans, was signed by the founder and president of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights, Sonja Biserko.

Biserko claims that Belgrade’s goal is “to complete the Belgrade-Banja Luka-Podgorica-Kosovska Mitrovica axis” and that this plan must be thwarted.

– Such Serbian policy has a strong influence on relations in the region, because it acts as a destabilizing factor that prevents the integration and consolidation of those countries through the Serbian communities in all neighboring countries. Belgrade assumes that it has established good “diplomatic relations with all the centers of power in the world” and that, therefore, it has acquired a geostrategic importance. In the past four years, Belgrade has managed to reach out to the Trump administration, which has encouraged it to increase its disruptive presence, both in Bosnia and in Montenegro and Kosovo, to the point of opening the possibility of “rebuilding” the Balkans, Biserko said. .

In a text full of baseless accusations against Serbia and especially against President Vučić, Biserko suggests that the international community should “eliminate the evil influence of Serbian claims” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which means unequivocally abolish the Republika Srpska and finally create a Unitary Bosnia and Herzegovina.

– For Bosnia to become a functional state, it is necessary to put an end to the change of borders and avoid influences, such as that of Serbia. The imperialism of Serbia of two centuries is especially dangerous. By reaffirming the existing borders with the firm guarantee of the international community, it is possible to remove the evil influence from all claims, especially the Serbs, and only then can the three Bosnian peoples be expected to return to their own agenda. This implies the establishment of a state identity, because without that there is room for disintegration tendencies, says Sonja Biserko.

So, according to Sonja Biserko, more precisely those on whose behalf it acts “accidentally”, right at this moment, the aim is to break just and righteous Serbia and prevent the minimum protection of Serbian national interests.
