SERBIA, AN UNEXPECTED OASIS FOR THE NEW YORKERS WHO WANT TO TRAVEL: this is how the New York Post writes about our country

One of them is the young Davis Richardson, who a few months ago decided to escape the epidemic in New York and reach the Serbian capital.

He says Belgrade reminds him of the Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg of 10 years ago and that he likes the active and fulfilling life it has in the Serbian capital.

– I spend twice less here than in New York, and I live in an apartment with a view of the entire city. The calculation is clear: here everything is half cheaper and there are no restrictions, I meet great people with whom I visit great restaurants and talk about issues that are not just political – says Richardson, reported the New York Post.

During the day, Davis goes out to cafes with acquaintances, and at night he goes to discos and bars, and everything, as he puts it, is within walking distance of the Belgrade apartment in which he lives.

– This city has the magical power to heal you: from Kalemegdan and the underground lagoons, through a tradition that goes back centuries, to interlocutors capable of having thematically nuanced and meaningful conversations – says Davis Richardson and emphasizes that the new restrictive measures the Serbian government will not affect the impression the Serbian capital has already left on you.

– If the situation in the United States continues to go in the same direction, with “locks”, physical and social distance, more and more people will come to Belgrade – believes the young New Yorker.
