Seismologist Slavica Radovanović says that the area where this earthquake occurred was seismically active, and that those shocks occur there.
– Now the situation is such that everyone is upset about Petrinja, otherwise it would not have been noticed. It is an earthquake of magnitude 3.3, last year there were also stronger ones in Serbia. The area in which it happened is such that such earthquakes occur in it, explains Slavica Radovanović, otherwise a former director of the Seismological Institute of Serbia.
When asked if there could be a stronger earthquake in Kragujevac, he said such short-term forecasts could not be given.
– It is not possible to say whether there is a possibility of a stronger blow or not. Short-term forecasts are not given. That space was seismically active, nothing is unusual for that space, the magnitude is small, we will see what happens, we must monitor it – he said.

Locals say the earthquake felt good, but it didn’t last long.
– The surprise, it was short, it is not strong, but it moved me from the bed – is one of the comments of the people of Kragujevac.
– It sounded like an explosion in the depths, it was on the terrace, a wave passed in a second – said another.
– It felt strong, but did not last long, without damage, wrote another Kragujevac resident.
