The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Kotor dropped the charge against Emina Adrović (25), accusing her of causing an accident in 2018 in which the Serbian citizen Miloš Vukomanović (25) died and his girlfriend Snežana Rudinac (24) was seriously injured.
This court took a decision on the suspension of the criminal proceedings and, after the withdrawal of the Kotor State Prosecutor’s Office, the accusation was filed earlier: it is written in the letter of the Kotor Court of First Instance, which “Blic” addressed in relation with the stage of the proceedings against Emina Adrović. He was charged with a serious crime against the safety of public transport.
However, Snezana Rudinac’s family did not agree with the prosecution’s decision, but decided to continue prosecuting the Budva painter.
What are the reasons why the Kotor Prosecutor’s Office, which claimed that Adrović arrived 45 minutes after midnight on July 18, 2018, even though he knew he could commit a crime but thought lightly that it would not happen or what could prevent it? He drove his “Audi” at 60 kilometers per hour in the section where the limit of 50, yielded more paperwork, is not known.
The prosecution also claimed that “he did not stop when he crossed the intersection and the crosswalk where Vukomanović and Rudinčeva were,” the prosecution stated in the indictment, “but struck them with the front of the car.” Due to the force of the impact, both were thrown and fell to the road. Vukomanović suffered injuries from which she soon died, while Rudinčeva was seriously injured.
The death of a young man from Žitkovac near Zubin Potok and the serious injury of his fiancee, Snežana Rudinac from Kraljevo, who left for Bečići, where they got a job at the Ibero Star Belvi hotel and earned money and made their long relationship official deadline that fall, he was at the center from the beginning. Montenegrin and Serbian public and public. Especially after the arrest of Emina Adrović, the daughter of a local businessman, suspected of driving an “Audi” in the direction of Budva.
He was suspected of driving an “Audi” that ran over Serbian citizens in a crosswalk. Budva City Council stated that “the crosswalk no longer works”, that “the new one was drawn twenty meters away and therefore the zebra tracks in the old crosswalk are not thickened”. He spent just over a month in custody. He was released when his family mortgaged the property, valued at 200,000 euros. Less than three months later, on November 13, his trial began, in which he claimed that he was not “guilty.”
– It is very difficult for me, this has totally changed my life. I want to express my condolences to the Vukomanović family and hope that Snežana makes a quick recovery. I keep asking about her health. However, I do not feel guilty because I could not avoid the accident, nor could I predict its movement and sudden return – said Adrović in her defense.
He presented his defense in the courtroom, but did not want to answer questions from State Prosecutor Ljiljana Milić, his defense attorney or the court.
At trial, she explained the part of her statement in which she claimed that Milos and Snezana “ran backwards,” explaining that she thought they “ran backwards, but did not turn around.”
Serious injuries
At the time of Miloš Vukomanović’s funeral in his hometown, his fiancee was airlifted from Risan hospital to Belgrade. She suffered an injury to her head, lower leg, upper leg and chest in the accident, and was in a coma for months, after which she was transferred to Kraljevo hospital to be closer to her parents.
“They ran backwards, with their backs to the right edge of the road,” Adrović said in his defense.
