Gornji Milanovac – It has been less than a month since news reached Serbia about veterinarians having to go to court because Belgrade lawyers did not respond to information of public importance if they paid for electricity, and the same story was repeated in the villages of Gornji Milanovac.
A certain woman from Ćićevac, as a natural person, sent a letter to the president of the local community of Polo, Peru Petrović, requesting answers to questions about her level of education and the place where she finished school, all based on the Law of Free Access. to Information of Public Importance.
“When I received the mail and opened it, I immediately suspected why a woman from Ćićevac was interested in my education, because she certainly doesn’t even know where my village is. I wanted to throw away that paper, because it was of no importance to me, but then I remembered the I case with the vets and decided to check everything. They told me that these scams have been repeated frequently in recent months, especially by the villagers and their inhabitants. So I responded and returned the mail. “Petrović told RINA.
However, he is not the only one who received a shipment with the same content, as it also arrived at the addresses of his colleagues in nearby towns.
“The president of the local community Ručići received the same question, he also did not want to answer because he thought that some mistake was insignificant. That is why I appeal to all people who receive a letter asking for information of public importance to respond, because otherwise, if they do not do so within the legal period of 15 days, they will have to pay large fines. “Local communities do not belong directly to public authorities, but in a broader sense they represent it, because they exercise public authority, so they are obliged to respond based on that,” says Petrovic.
Controversial questions also came to the JKP address in the municipality of Gornji Milanovac, because although information about the work of this company is published on the official website, on the portal of the municipality, by law a natural person, organization or organization non-governmental has the right to ask the same question in writing.
“The people of Gornji Milanovac do not ask questions, whose interest would be to obtain information from the local self-government. Such letters are sent in a circular form and the questions are sent without order to any institution in order to violate the deadline established by law and reimburse the costs through court proceedings. I think this is one of the ways that lawyers make money, while the courts are handcuffed, because they don’t establish the fact and they don’t address what questions are being raised and whether they are really of public importance, but rather They only check whether the law is violated or not, and with each absence of responses or not delivery on time, the law is certainly violated, “said Gornji Milanovac Municipality President Dejan Kovačević.
On the occasion of this case, he contacted a woman from Ćićevac, who confirmed that she had sent a letter to the president of MZ Polo, but did not want to answer any further questions, but ended the relationship.
