Say this prayer for the salvation of the soul

Today, the Serbian Orthodox Church and its believers mark the Holy Prophet Habakkuk.

He was the son of Asapat, of the tribe of Simeon.

He was a prophet six hundred years before Christ during the reign of King Manasseh.

When Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, attacked Jerusalem, Habakkuk took refuge in the Ismaili country, from where he later returned to Judea, where he lived as a farmer.

One day he was bringing lunch to the workers in the fields, when suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared to him and said: “Take the lunch that you have to Babylon to Daniel, to the den of lions.” And Habakkuk said to him: Lord, I have not seen Babylon, and I do not know where the well is.

Then an angry angel took him to Babylon, to the den where the lions were. In that well was Danilo, who was overthrown there by the Emperor Cyril.

When Habakkuk saw him, he said to him: “Daniel, Daniel, receive the lunch that God has sent you,” and Daniel received it and ate it, then the angel took it again and brought it back to Judea.

He died in old age and was buried in Kela. His relics were discovered in the time of Theodosius the Great.
