“Savannah” wants to take over “Montenegro Airlines”, pilots ask for a meeting with Krivokapic

In the letter that Bankar.me knew, the intention of the “Savannah” group was presented to take over “Montenegro Airlines” for one euro, with the condition of prior cancellation of all the obligations that the company has with the State.

It was also stated that Savannah would assume the obligation of an agreement with the private creditors of “Montenegro Airlines” to settle the debts, as well as the responsibility and risks for the future business of the company.

As reasons for this decision, the Savannah group cites the fact that Montenegro must have its own national airline.

At the same time, they stated that the reasons why the company should not be closed were not adequately explained nor was a cost-benefit analysis presented.

According to the portal, the “Savannah” group is controlled by Montenegrin businessman Veselin Mijac, who has lived in Sweden for decades.

As they say, “Savannah” has invested more than 50 million euros in Montenegro in the last five years.

The pilots seek a meeting with Krivokapic

Meanwhile, the “Montenegro Airlines” pilots approached the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapić, and requested a meeting with him.

“The way its decision to close Montenegro Airlines was made and announced is shocking and inappropriate for the practice known to the world in this business. We, the pilots, found out about its decision at the same time as the entire Montenegrin public. A a day later our profession has disappeared in this country ”, the pilots said in a letter to Krivokapić, published by the CDM portal.

The pilots note that they are highly skeptical about the Montenegrin government’s announcement that Montenegro will one day reestablish a national airline.
