Vidović hung himself on the butt of the front door. He was flagged as one of the most dangerous prisoners in the Republika Srpska, serving a 19-year prison sentence for the professional murder of Miroslav Lazarevic in 2016. He is also associated with the Skaljar clan.

According to Srpskainfo, guards found his body on Monday and the farewell letters left to his mother and brother were found in Vidovic’s cell. Sasa Vidovic committed suicide on the day of her baptism. Vidović’s lawyer, Rusmir Karkin, said he was informed of his client’s death.

“According to the first information, he committed suicide and the police conducted an investigation and collected certain confirming evidence,” Karkin explained.

Foča Penitentiary is considered one of the strictest prisons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Vidović was placed in a special ward where the most dangerous criminals live.

– They are special cells, so there is no other way for someone to commit suicide there – added our interlocutor.

In June this year, Sasa Vidovic and Aleksandar Bulatovic were sentenced by the Supreme Court of the Republika Srpska to a total of 35 years in prison for the murder of Miroslav Lazarevic in East Sarajevo. According to the verdict, Vidović, Bulatović and another unknown person intercepted Lazarević with a stolen “BMW X5” SUV on 16 October 2016 and shot him with 24 rounds from an automatic rifle.

The indictment alleges that the two planned and organized the murder. While driving a “Golf 7”, the assassins intercepted Lazarević on Belgrade street, and when he slowed down a lying policeman, they fired 24 shots with an automatic rifle, caliber 7.62 mm. Lazarevic was hit by several shots and was killed on the spot. After the crime, Vidović and Bulatović fled to Sarajevo and set fire to the stolen “BMW” next to the building in Aleja lipa.

They left a rifle and two frames full of bullets in the vehicle, which caught fire. 26 bullets were activated due to the flames, endangering the lives of two girls who were in the apartment on the ground floor of the building. The windows were cracked by the flames and the woodwork in Jasmina Ć’s apartment room was burned. and Nedžad K.’s garage door was damaged.

Miroslav Lazarevic was considered one of the members of the East Sarajevo automafia group. After his assassination, revenge followed, so Zeljko Bulatovic, Aleksandra Bulatovic’s father, was killed in Novi Sad. Some media previously reported that Vidović also worked for the scalping clan and allegedly killed for them.

It is related to the murder of one of the leaders of the Partizan fans, Aleksandar Stanković, named Sale Mutavi. Stankovic was assassinated a few days earlier in an almost identical manner to Lazarevic. The assassins waited for the leader of “Grobar” in the wider center of Belgrade. Stanković was in his “Audi” and slowed down at the traffic light when two attackers jumped in front of him and fired a “machine gun”. He died on the spot from his injuries.

Vidović was also linked to the assassination attempt on Slobodan Kašćelan, who is considered the leader of the “Kavač clan”, in mid-June of the same year in Novi Sad. Kašćelan and his bodyguard Vladan Vucković were on the “audio”, and the attacker was shot by moving motorcycles.

Vuckovic responded to fire, which likely prevented the attackers from carrying out their plan to the end. However, a bullet went through Kašćelan’s body, close to his heart, while Vucković was wounded in the hip and leg.
