As announced by the Serbian Radio-Television, the members of the Government will vote on the changes to the law on Thursday, and the deputies of the Serbian Assembly on November 10.

Tamara Stojčević, a member of the task force to change the law, told RTS that no increase in fines was proposed, meaning that those who do not wear a mask will have to pay 5,000 dinars, or half less if they do so inside eight days.

Now, only health inspectors are in charge of controlling the use of masks, of which there are only 140 in Serbia.

The Undersecretary of Health for Inspection Affairs, Goran Stamenković, told RTS that 2,237 controls were carried out in the last four days and 74 requests were submitted to initiate proceedings for minor offenses, but almost none against citizens who do not wear a mask or keep to themselves. distance.

In public transport vehicles, cafes, restaurants and parks, compliance with the measures is monitored by about twenty patrols of the Belgrade Communal Militia, but now they can only verify violations, not sanction them.
