When asked if there were youths on respirators, Lazic said:
“Unfortunately, there are and it is becoming more common,” he said. He gave the example of his friend from college, who was born in 1983 and contracted the corona virus.
– My comrade in arms, also an anesthesiologist, is one of those patients. She is currently at KBC Dragisa Misovic and the doctors are fighting for her life. On mechanical ventilation, he was intubated and in very serious condition, Lazić said.
As he pointed out, capacities are overloaded and he calls on citizens to be responsible.
– We are tired and sick. Protect yourself and protect us: this anesthesiologist appeals.
In Serbia, the corona virus was confirmed in the last 24 hours in 3,888 people, and 52 patients died at the same time. 12,578 people were tested and the percentage of infected is 30.91.
There are 326 patients on the ventilator, while the number of people hospitalized is 9,581.
