The Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Branko Ružić, said that it is unrealistic to predict at this time when students will return to school, and stated that the final decision will be made by crisis staff.
The epidemiological situation is monitored intensively and daily, in cooperation with the competent institutions and bodies. In accordance with the changes in the situation, we will take appropriate measures, and the final decision, as before, will be made by the crisis staff, Ruzic told the Telegraf portal.
The number of students suffering from coronavirus was between 0.4 and 0.5 percent, while among employees, teaching staff and extracurricular staff it did not exceed five percent, which, according to Ruzic’s assessment, is proof discipline and respect for preventive measures.
Ruzic said there were not a significant number of students and faculty who were sanctioned for non-compliance with the measures, noting that all of them were committed and responsible in the first semester of the year.
The Minister of Education assessed that the earlier vacation schedule is a good decision to save everyone in the education system.
