Aleksandar Šarac (35), who was shot and killed on October 17 at TC Ušće’s garage in New Belgrade, succumbed to his injuries after nine days, and there is still no trace or voice of Lazar I, who is suspected of shot him in the head, although almost a month since the crime.
Meanwhile, security camera recordings on the fateful day in New Belgrade came to light. The video shows that the killer fired shots to the head of Sharc in front of the father who was holding the boy in his arms.
Aleksandar Šarac knew that the attacker was attacked by the fact that he always wore bulletproof vests and avoided seeing his friends in secret places.
He wore a bulletproof vest, drove an armored “Mercedes”, or more precisely, had a driver. All of this indicates that he feared for his life. And he saw his friends in cafes inside shopping centers where there are many people and who are “covered” by video surveillance, believing that he is the safest there, but even that did not prevent his liquidation.
The pistol found by the police was dropped by the killer during the escape. Although the serial number was engraved on the pistol, the suspect was soon identified. Lazar I. is still being searched and it is not yet known if he left Serbia after the crime and if he is alive.
