A woman from Zrenjanin, BU (85), was killed last night in an explosion that occurred around midnight at the family home where she lived on Milan Rakić street in the city of Begej.

As “Blic” learned from a source in the Zrenjanin police, the first results of the investigation showed that the explosion occurred due to faulty gas installations.

– Members of the fire and rescue unit went to the scene after reporting the incident and removed the lifeless body of an old woman, who was in the house at the time of the explosion, where part of the roof and the roof structure collapsed. The competent prosecutor went to the scene of the accident and, together with members of the Zrenjanin police, conducted an investigation and an ongoing investigation should shed light on all the circumstances that led to the tragedy. According to the first information, the explosion probably occurred due to faulty gas installations – explains the interlocutor of “Blic” who is familiar with the investigation in relation to this incident.

As “Blic” learns, the old woman’s body was transferred to the Novi Sad Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy by order of the prosecutor, and according to the first information, the authorities believe that the tragedy occurred by accident without elements of crime.
