Molotov cocktails were thrown at a flower shop and a grocery store, which are related to the arrested Rakočević brothers, suspected of the crime the day before yesterday.
Reporters from “Novosti” visited both bars yesterday within a few minutes’ drive of each other. At the “Santo Domingo” flower shop on Bulevar JNA in Jajinci, in the first hour of the week, around 1 pm, unknown persons threw a Molotov cocktail, which visibly damaged the interior of the building. According to unofficial information, the flower shop is owned by the sister of the arrested Rakočević brothers.
As one florist told our team, she heard an explosion because she lives in the back house.
MY CHILDREN WANTED TO BE KILLED, THEY INFORMED THE POLICE THEMSELVES – Ranko Rakočević, the father of those arrested, addressed the public through “Novosti” and declared
THE FATHER of the arrested Rakočević brothers, Ranko, yesterday addressed our editorial staff with a letter in which he set out “the facts related to the conflict in which Filip Lepojević was assassinated.” He claims that his two sons, Uroš and Petar, were returning from the dressing room on Saturday, where they were led by their older brother, Radovan.
– When they returned home to Banjica, looking for parking near the building they live in, they were suddenly attacked by armed people, as a result of which there was a contact that, unfortunately, ended fatally for the attackers – says Ranko. – Fearing a new attack, the children left the place and informed the police about the incident, as well as the place where they are, where the police arrived immediately. This is how they were arrested.
Rakočević also cited the chronology of his sons’ conflicts with one Luka P., and his “team”, which began in late August in a bar. Both brothers, Uroš and Petar, were stabbed.
– The same team, while my children were in the hospital, terrorized their friends, asking them to tell them where they lived, to attract them and to kill them – Ranko affirms, among other things, noting that the MUP was informed of all the facts.
– I was woken up by an explosion. I heard something explode and when I saw the smoke from the flower shop, I immediately went out with my son to put out the fire. We put out the fire until the firemen arrived. The door broke, they threw a flowerpot from the deck to break the glass, and then they threw something that started a fire, a setback, for our role, says the worker. – I was very scared, my son just calmed me down. And the owners are really wonderful people, I don’t have a single nasty word to say about them. They recently took over and renovated the bar.
Not far from “Santo Domingo”, the fruit and vegetable shop “Voćinko” on Jakova Galuša street, the fire also damaged it and the grocery store was blackened by soot. There was a hole in the broken glass door through which unknown persons inserted, as the investigating authorities suppose, also a Molotov cocktail. Neighbors who live nearby told us that they saw Petar Rakočević once when he came to the bar.
– He parked the car in front of our yard, then he told us he was the owner of the store. And we don’t hear any explosions, just sirens, our neighbors tell us.
As we learned unofficially, the murdered young man lived on Paunova Street, not far from the murder site. Neighbors we encountered in a nearby park told us they had seen it in the neighborhood. They met him recently “at the end”, and in the same playground they saw him, as they say, with his permanent equipment.
According to them, he used narcotics and allegedly dealt drugs in that park.
What happened on Saturday around 5 pm in the parking lot of 104 Oslobođenja Boulevard has not yet been clarified by the investigation. The truth is that there was a shooting in which Filip Lepojević received a blow to the head and was killed on the spot, while his friend Aleksa Ђ. wounded in the thigh.
An hour later, the police arrested Petar (34), Uroš (24) and Radovan Rakočević (37), on suspicion that they participated in this conflict and that one of them fired two shots, one of which hit Lepojević in the head.
MUDDY BUSINESS
IN the words of the neighbors, in this part of Banjica, some of the young people who live here are involved in “shady affairs” and, as they claim, are old acquaintances of the police:
– They were arrested for narcotics, but also for other criminal acts. They often meet in the parking lot where the shooting and crime occurred.
