One-time assistance to adult citizens no later than June 1
Four days until the opening of the telephone line and the option on the Treasury Internet portal for one-time requests for state aid: 100 euros for all adult citizens. Registration will last from May 15 to June 5 and will be simple and fast. Although the payment to pensioners and users of financial social assistance will be automatic and will begin on May 15, the money will begin to be deposited in the accounts of other adult citizens no later than June 1.
All adult citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have an active residence on the day of the entry into force of the Decree, on April 24, with a valid identification card, are entitled to financial assistance in the amount of 100 euros. When registering, through the Treasury Administration portal or by phone, through the contact center, whose number will be published immediately before the start of registration on May 15, citizens will leave only three data. These are the JMBG, the valid ID card registration number and the name of the bank with which the account was opened or want your account to be opened.
– Pensioners and beneficiaries of financial social assistance will be automatically registered, they say in the Ministry of Finance. – Pension recipients are also considered temporary compensation beneficiaries: second and third category disabled workers. Recipients of temporary unemployment benefits must register, as do those over 65 if they are not retired.
STRONG STATE – A STRONG state is known for how much it represents its citizens in difficult times – says Siniša Mali, Minister of Finance. – This is only one of the economic measures within the program to support the economy and citizens. Private sector employees have already received the first minimum wage, and this Friday we will start paying 100 euros to pensioners and users of social assistance.
Payment for pension and financial assistance beneficiaries will begin on May 15. If any of them does not have a checking account, a single dedicated account will be opened at the Bank “Poštanska štedionica” for this purpose, which will be closed when they withdraw money.
Citizens who do not have a checking account when submitting the application must indicate which bank they want to open a single dedicated account. There are no additional costs.
– After the citizen withdraws the money, the dedicated account will be closed, they explain in the Ministry of Finance. – The money in that account is withdrawn in cash, but if the user wishes, he can, in a contractual relationship with the bank, define additional services that he would use with it, which would refer to the declared funds. If a citizen has received money in his current account, which was previously active, he can get rid of it as he usually does. It is not planned to redirect the money directly to humanitarian organizations, and a citizen can do it himself after withdrawing the money.
One-time assistance cannot be paid into someone else’s account and an ID card is required for everyone. According to our law, those who are not over the age of 16 must also have an identification card. Those whose ID card expired during the state of emergency will not run out of 100 euros. Those born in Serbia, even though they worked abroad and receive a pension from abroad, will have citizens of Serbia living in Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina, provided they have an active residence in our country.
