Representatives of the Movement for Change brought a jacket to the Serbian Parliament with the intention of handing it over to deputy Marjan Risticevic, who was recently attacked in front of the entrance to parliament, after which he was photographed wearing a torn jacket.
According to the H1 reporter, they tried to deliver the jacket to Risticevic in person, but the police did not allow them to approach the steps.
“Therefore, we are delivering on Janko Veselinović’s promise, on one condition: we demand MEP Risticević to influence President (Aleksandar) Vučić to return the state to us in return, to return constitutional and legal powers to parliament,” said Braco Marković of the Movement for Change.
He added that the opposition is against any violence, but that “no comparison can be made between Risticevic’s torn jacket and Borko Stefanovic’s broken head.”
“I don’t think this is a performance. It is good will, a wish that we all sit at the negotiating table,” he said.
Risticevic did not come to pick up the jacket that is on the fence in front of the National Assembly.
