“In addition, criminal charges were brought against unidentified persons due to suspected child abuse and neglect,” Stanisavljević said.

If children are found in the street due to the carelessness and negligence of their parents, the Center for Social Work of the City will take the measures within its competence. This means that a child may be separated from the main family if her life is assessed to be in danger, or when there is reasonable reason to believe that not taking this action would expose the child to greater danger.
