During the electoral campaign, officials were the most represented in the programs, not in the electoral lists, according to a report by REM’s Monitoring and Analysis Service.

The stations, 12 of which were the focus of this regulatory body, dedicated 367 hours and 27 minutes of their program to officials, while they dedicated 344 hours and 24 minutes to the electoral lists.

At 170 hours, the most represented was the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, while 68 hours and 9 minutes of the program were dedicated to the SNS electoral list. Behind him is Prime Minister Ana Brnabić with 33 hours and 45 minutes of participation in all programs.

The Serbian Radio-Television had the most balanced pre-election program: the Serbian Progressive Party lists represented about 8% of the total pre-election program, while the lists of the Socialist Party of Serbia, the Serbian Radical Party, the United Democratic Serbia and Broom 2020 appeared for six hours each. The situation is similar in Vojvodina Radio-Television.

Pink TV reserved 50 hours and 45 minutes for the pre-election program, and the list “Aleksandar Vučić – for our children” was the most in front of the cameras: 9 hours and 10 minutes. For a long time, the lists of the Socialist Party of Serbia, the Serbian Radical Party, Broom 2020 and United Democratic Serbia have been present together on this television. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić appeared convincingly among officials in front of TV Pink cameras, in 47% of the reports.

In other commercial TVs, Happy TV, B92, TV Prva, the figures show that more space was given to the SNS list. The positive information about the representatives of the ruling coalition was broadcast mainly on televisions with national coverage, and the negative information was mainly about the political option that advocated boycotting the elections.

In contrast, cable television H1 had a positive attitude towards the Alliance for Serbia and a negative attitude towards government representatives. On this television, which broadcast 114 hours of the pre-election program, 36 hours of the total pre-election time were devoted to the opposition bloc gathered around the Alliance for Serbia, which did not participate in the elections, and almost 12 hours to the list “Aleksandar Vucic – for our children. ” The most represented on this television were the analysts, up to 77 hours.

Nova S television, which REM and N1 saw for the first time this year, also gave up half of the 73 hours of pre-election time to analysts. And 11 hours and 35 minutes were given to the parties that boycotted the elections. As for the participants in the elections, the most represented was the list “Sergej Trifunović – movement of free citizens” – 3 hours and 22 minutes, while the list “Aleksandar Vučić – for our children” was present on this television for 50 minutes.

The specialized pre-election programs, in which all the electoral lists and candidates are presented, except in the programs of public media services, were shown only on H1 and Pink televisions, which, incidentally, have no legal obligation to represent electoral participants in this way.
